The Pro-Life Science & Technology Symposia are intended to bring together technical professionals, including scientists and engineers from all relevant fields, to network and to present the results of scientific research and technical applications relevant to the pro-life cause.
In the past, pro-life technical professionals had no opportunity to contribute their specialized knowledge to the pro-life cause. Pro-life professionals could picket abortion mills, take part in Life Chains, etc., but none of these activities allowed them to utilize their professional background or technical expertise in the pro-life cause.
The Symposia provide an avenue by which scientific, medical and engineering professionals can bring their professional expertise to the pro-life cause. The Symposia allow technical professionals to report the results of their research, and to learn of work in other technical fields. The Symposia also give scientific and engineering professionals an opportunity to network with other pro-life professionals and activists. At the Symposia, technical professionals and pro-life activists can learn of work related to their own, identify possible collaborators, and exchange information about ongoing research.
The Symposia are held in September of each year. Calls for Abstracts are issued early in the year. Our web site has current information about the schedule and deadlines for abstracts and papers.
Technical professionals are encouraged to attend, and to submit abstracts of current research dealing with pro-life issues such as abortion, chimeras, cloning, euthanasia, stem cells, and effective pro-life organization and advocacy. Students are encouraged to submit poster papers.
